OUR HISTORY

Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts was established on 09.09.1997 by the decision of the Council of Ministers according to article 30 of Law No. 2809 dated 28.03.1983 and published in the Official Gazette dated 19.09.1997 and numbered 23115.

At the beginning of 1999-2000 academic year, infrastructure works were started in Anafartalar Campus. Decision of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) in its meeting dated 29.02.2000, in accordance with the amendment of the Law No. 2547 of Law No. 2880 and Article No. 3 of Law No. 2809, it was decided that the faculty should be composed of main arts and arts branches and official letter dated 07.03.2000 and 531-4897.

In the beginning of the 2000-2001 academic year, the faculty moved to Terzioglu Campus temporarily to CMMYO, Theology Faculty and Faculty of Science and Literature. Our Faculty consists of 6 following departments; Painting Department, Ceramics and Glass Works Department, Textile Design Department, Graphic Design Department, Traditional Turkish Arts Department, Stage and Visual Arts Department.
