Uluslararası Güzel Sanatlar ve Baskı Konferansı (IFAPC - International Fine Arts and Printings
Conferences) Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri’nin (UAB) gözde şehirlerinden Dubai’de 2-3 Şubat 2023
tarihlerinde gerçekleşmiştir. IFAPC 2023 organizasyonu dahilinde sanat ve tasarımın yaratıcı
düşünceyi ve fikri uluslararası bir platformda göstermek ve ifade etmek amacıyla konferansın
bir uzantısı olarak sunumların yanı sıra çeşitli sergi ve etkinliklere yer verilmiştir. Bu etkinlikler
kapsamında 02 Şubat 2023 tarihinde (NADWA - The Cultural & Scientific Association) Dubai
Kültür ve Bilim Derneği’nde Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Grafik
Tasarım Bölüm Başkanı Doç. Didem Çatal tarafından 'Deadline Diaries' isimli Uluslararası
Deneysel Tasarım Kişisel Sergi (IFAPC 2023, Dubai, ‘Deadline Diaries’ International Experimental
Design Solo Exhibition) gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Tasarımcı Didem Çatal kişisel sergisini şu sözlerle özetler;

‘En yalın anlamıyla tasarım; hayal ve düşüncenin çizgiye aktarımıdır. Bu sergi tasarımcı olarak
ben’im yaratmak istediğim tasarıma ulaşıncaya kadar geçirdiğim süre içerisinde yaşadığım
yolculuğu konu almaktadır. Tasarım sürecinde birçok çizgiye olmuş, olmamış ya da olacak
tanımının konduğu, önemli notların alındığı ve aslolan fikrin oluş anının, kendisinin de bir
tasarım nesnesi olarak sergilenebilir olması gerekliliğini düşündürdü. Tasarladığım tüm işlerde
zaman kısıtlaması sorunuma çözüm bulmak ve bu sürecin tasarıma yansımasının olumlu ya da
olumsuz etkisini ortaya koyduğum bu sergide, tasarımın temel ilkelerini ve tasarım sürecinin
deneysel yansımalarını göreceksiniz. Bu sergi aslında bir tasarıma başlamadan önce, önemli
notlar ve eskizlerimi kaydettiğim sürece ait yolculuğu anlatır.'

International Fine Arts and Printing Conference (IFAPC) was held in Dubai, one of the favorite
cities of the United Arab Emirates (UAB), on 2-3 February 2023. As an extension of the
conference, various exhibitions and events were held as an extension of the conference in
order to show and express the creative thought and idea of art and design on an international
platform within the IFAPC 2023 organization. Within the scope of these activities, on February
02, 2023 (NADWA - The Cultural & Scientific Association), Head of Graphic Design Department
of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts Assoc. International Experimental
Design Solo Exhibition (IFAPC 2023, Dubai, 'Deadline Diaries' International Experimental Design
Solo Exhibition) named 'Deadline Diaries' by Didem Çatal.

Designer Didem Çatal summarizes her solo exhibition with these words;

‘Design in its simplest sense; It is the transfer of imagination and thought to the line. This
exhibition is about my journey as a designer until I reach the design I want to create. It made us
think that the moment when the definition of what has happened, not or will happen to many
lines is made, important notes are taken and the moment of the formation of the main idea
must itself be exhibited as a design object in the design process. You will see the basic
principles of design and the experimental reflections of the design process in this exhibition,
where I find a solution to my problem of time constraints in all the works I design and reveal
the positive or negative effects of the reflection of this process on design. This exhibition
actually tells the journey of me as I record important notes and sketches before starting a
design.’
